Lanny has been a member at Central since 1983, serving in a variety of roles including Bible class teacher, worship leader, and deacon in worship. After both being widowed, Lanny and Gina met on eHarmony and were married in December 2015. Together they have five children, four grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

He feels God has not called us to a life of self-gratitude in retirement but to serving God and His Kingdom until the Lord calls us home. His favorite pastime is listening to southern gospel and classic rock music, hiking, camping, and fishing in God’s creation as well as mission trips and spending time in the quiet of God’s presence and His Word.
